به گزارش وبلاگ شخصی من، دانشگاه هومبولت برلین در شهر برلین و در سال 1810 در رشته های قانون، پزشکی، الهیات و فلسفه زیر نظر رئیس دانشگاه و با 256 دانشجو و 52 استاد آغاز به کار کرد. 29 نفر از کسانی که جایزه نوبل را کسب کرده اند در این دانشگاه تحصیل کرده اند. بزرگترین متفکران آلمانی مانند اشلایرماخر، فردریش شلینگ، آلبرت اَینشتین، ماکس پلانک، کارل مارکس و فریدریش انگلس نبز در این دانشگاه کسب علم کرده اند.
